Types of Communal System

IRS Integrated Receiving systems
A common communal system for blocks of flats and large housing estates where only one satellite dish and aerial is required.

MATV Master Antenna TV System
An old type of communal system which work well but are unable to connect to a satellite receiver.

SMATV Satellite Master Antenna TV systems
This system is generally used for hotels and alike. The SMATV system has one receiver per satellite channel which is then put through an aerial system. Allowing each connected TV access to satellite channels, without a satellite receiver box.
